About Steve

I've been a student at Davis College for the past three years as I am working on earning my Youth Ministry degree. I first had the desire to impact teenagers during my late high school years. Let's face it... this age group has the potential for making decisions that will set them towards a certain path for the rest of their lives. And I decided I wanted to help them reach their fullest potential. A huge part of this desire came from seeing Jesus as a model for how I wanted to live my life. He set an example of how we can live to love God and love others. While I'm not sure I can always consider myself a Christian (due to current stereotypes), I do consider myself a follower of Jesus.

I love music, reading, spending time outdoors, skateboarding, and a good cup of coffee (I just recently started drinking it black).  During the school year I participate in my local church as a youth intern. This summer, I will be working with CSM in Brooklyn, as I lean toward a recent interest in social justice and a concern for those who are socially "marginalized."
